Anthony Joshua v Oleksandr Usyk 2

Anthony Joshua v Oleksandr Usyk – Find out recent news and rumoured location and dates on the big rematch

The rumours are looking to become a reality with Anthony Joshua seeking out revenge on Oleksandr Usyk who claimed all of Joshua’s belts at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 25th September 2021.

The Ukrainian claimed the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles with an excellent performance in nearly stopping Joshua in the final seconds of the final round. After the fight had finished It had looked like Usyk would face Fury for the chance to be the number 1 in the Heavyweight division with all 4 major belts on the line!

However, Joshua was offered £15million to break his rematch clause with Usyk so Usyk can go straight to the title fight with the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury in a winner takes all match.

But Joshua turned down the deal as he wants the rematch with the Usyk in a make-or-break night which could potentially take place in the UK once again.

Right after the 12 rounds, Joshua was asked if he wants a rematch, his response was “100 per cent, 110 per cent“ AJ instantly seeks out revenge after being dethroned by a magnificent performance by Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua was simply outclassed by Usyk in London with his immaculate accuracy, speed, and movement for the 12 rounds. Joshua knew he had a rematch clause in his contract, with this in mind, AJ told his conqueror: “We’re gonna go again?” He then added: “Now I know how to beat you,”

Joshua has since come out and said – “I’m just looking to go in there improved, stronger, smarter and I believe I’ll get a good win in the next fight because of what I learned this fight. I’m a quick learner and we’ll bounce back.”

With Usyk wanting the ultimate title fight with the Tyson Fury, Usyk’ s promoter Alexander Krassyuk has said –

“When we were talking to Oleksandr about the rematch, he wasn’t upset. On the contrary, he was happy. He was glad and said: ‘Oh, cool! I will beat up Anthony twice! The approximate time that Eddie Hearn announced is indeed true.”
